Tip of the Week: Passion & Play Stops Cravings

Ever notice how people in love forget to eat? Or children who are playing forget that it's mealtime? Active minds don't have time to think of food. If you find yourself constantly snacking, bingeing or overeating you might not have enough passion or play in your life.

Human beings are passionate creatures. We like to love. We like to laugh. We like to learn. We like to be actively living and living actively. When that passion isn't being channeled into something you feel excited about it can get spent on obsessive thinking, television watching, internet surfing, and behaviors like overeating. However, if you find an outlet for this energy you will naturally find yourself scrounging for food less and less. How can you bring more passion and play into your life? Even in these trying financial times you can teach yourself something you always wanted to learn (there is a ton of free info on the web and you can always get library books or videos), you can start a project like organizing old photos or creating great playlists on the computer or you can even do the all time greatest free activity-spending uninterrupted time with your loved ones. Finding something that excites you can keep you so engaged that you simply don't have time for cravings.

Thanks for these great tips- when I can afford to join I will because you are clearly helping me get in control with your free tips- and know I will benefit from joining. It is clearly an emotional eating aspect which I need to read about- and get more excercise in my life to budge the metabolism. But, I have greatly reduced my binge eating and thoughtless eating. Thanks so much.

Absolutely. I love your connection with life as a 'thought power'. This makes so much sense. This is why I believe when you start to get better, control your overeating as well as gain control of your life and of the person you have always wanted to be, are in the same frequency thought wave. If we imagine, set our minds to an image that we aspire to be, ourselves, but physically and emotionally healthy, greater positive aspects such as passion for something, and having more fun, will just make that ball that has started to roll faster and faster. Thank you for this wonderful advise. We must be as passionate about channeling that good energy as we are about being ourselves and looking our best! I will join.

Dancing is also a fun, and potentially non-expensive activity! I try to go 2-4 times per week...and it keeps me on my toes...out of the fridge

With spring right around the corner, there are lots of fun activities that one can do outside, whether you love to shoot hoops throw a ball to your child or just walk up and down the street, it not only provides you with movement and fun but vitamin D too!

So ture... I was once lovesick and just forgot about food completely. I think I lost about 3kgs in a week. And I'm a ballet dancer but I often have to remind myself to eat or else I'll simply go without a meal or something...thank goodness for mom who always reminds me to pack lunch :
